2005 – The new ride addition “Tornado” was added to the park. A structural steel tower and ride support columns were constructed to support the new 108” diameter family raft ride. A unique space frame was used to support the funnel shaped fiberglass section of the slide. (2457)
2008 – The new ride addition “RipQurl” was added to the park. A 60’ tall wood framed tower and wood trestle supports were constructed to support the new 108” diameter slide that transitioned into a 40’ diameter bowl. The bowl was supported by a steel tubular frame. (2813)
2010 – The new ride addition “Stingray Racer” was added to the park. A 65’ structural steel tower and ride support columns were constructed to support the new multilane mat racer slide. (1003)
2013 – The new ride addition “Brain Drain” was added to the park. An existing 75’ structural steel tower was modified by adding additional platform area, columns and access stairs to support the two new 32” diameter body/drop slides. New steel columns and arms were added to support the slides. (1271)
2014 – The new ride addition “Big Kahuna” was added to the park. The existing “Tornado” slide tower was increased in size and new slide supports constructed to support the new 108” diameter tube ride. (1340)

Our creative approach to design is unlimited in applying structural solutions to a variety of project types.
Conventional structures are typically given conventional solutions. The Core Group has a different philosophy.
To achieve the greatest efficiency in structural design and construction document preparation, The Core Group utilizes AutoCAD and Revit Structure to integrate all engineering and architectural disciplines.
