2004 – The new ride addition “Tornado” was added to the park. A structural steel tower and wood trestle slide supports were constructed to support the new 108”closed diameter family raft ride. A unique space frame was used to support the funnel shaped fiberglass section of the slide. (2349)
2007 – The new ride addition “Big Bender” and “Whirlpool” were added to the park. A small steel tower and concrete slide supports were constructed to support both slides which incorporated two 54” diameter open and closed flumes. The “Whirlpool” slide transitions into a 40’ diameter bowl. The bowl was supported by a steel tubular frame. (2603)
2014 – The new ride addition “Bahama Blaster” was added to the park. A structural steel tower and ride support columns were constructed to support the four drop slides with two 32” diameter flumes and two speed slides. (1346)
2017 – The new ride addition “Thunder Rapids” was added to the park. Structural steel columns and concrete ride supports were constructed to support this roller coaster water slide that incorporated 54’ diameter flumes and flying saucer elements. (1631)
Our creative approach to design is unlimited in applying structural solutions to a variety of project types.
Conventional structures are typically given conventional solutions. The Core Group has a different philosophy.
To achieve the greatest efficiency in structural design and construction document preparation, The Core Group utilizes AutoCAD and Revit Structure to integrate all engineering and architectural disciplines.
